Your hotel decides how often you can pray in Masjid al-Haram. Hotels in the Clock Tower (Abraj Al Bait) and on Ibrahim Al Khalil Street are steps from the mosque; hotels in Ajyad and Misfalah are a 5 to 15 minute walk and cost less.

How to choose
By distance
- Under 300 m: best for elderly pilgrims, families with young children and anyone who wants to pray every prayer in the Haram.
- 300 to 700 m: a 5 to 10 minute walk; good value for most pilgrims.
- Over 700 m: the lowest prices; some hotels run a shuttle bus. Allow extra time on Fridays and in Ramadan.
By star rating
- 5-star: large rooms, restaurants and, in the Clock Tower, rooms with a view of the Ka'bah.
- 4-star: comfortable rooms and breakfast options, often close to the mosque.
- 3-star: simple, clean rooms at a lower price; ideal for groups sharing triple or quad rooms.
Room sharing
Prices are per room. Sharing a triple or quad room lowers the cost per person and is common for families and groups.
